UBL has introduced its new product – the UBL Good Citizen Account with the aim to promote tax payment in Pakistan.
With the Good Citizen Account, UBL is targeting active taxpayers by providing them assistance in taxation matters and various other incentives.
Along with the government’s advantages to taxpayers, UBL will provide additional benefits to sweeten the deal.
If you sign-up, you will receive tax filing and advisory services, free health insurance, multiple free banking facilities, and many more benefits.
Moreover, the procedure for signing up is the same as it is for other accounting openings.

What are the Benefits of UBL Good Citizen Account?

The benefits provided by UBL include:
- Free accidental insurance
- Tax advisory from the tax consultants at Befiler
- 50% off on Debit Card fee
- 50% off on all banking charges & fees
Furthermore, there are various additional incentives that UBL is giving for account holders who maintain an Rs. 5 lac monthly average balance, which include:
- Auto, home, or small business loan at a current effective rate of 9.75% p.a.
- Free life insurance policy for natural/accidental death (including COVID-19 related deaths) and hospitalization cash benefits
- Debit Card free of cost
- Free funds transferring to any other bank through the UBL Digital App, ATMs, or internet banking
- Free ATM cash withdrawals from any bank ATM in Pakistan
The filing and advisory firm hired by UBL is Befiler. In addition to tax-filing facilitation, the Befiler team will help you with tax advisory as well at a discounted rate of Rs. 2,200.
The life insurance policy is being offered in collaboration with EFU Life. Currently, they are covering natural or accidental death. Moreover, the natural death benefit amount is fixed at Rs. 500,000, and the benefit amount for accidental death is Rs. 1,000,000.
